The Trust is basically a training and documentation resource organisation in the area of development/journalism/communications, with special focus on marginalised groups within Indian society, namely Dalits, Tribals, children and youth from these groups, the aged, disabled, etc.

WE have published dozens of articles in leading development publications, lobbied with governments to advocate policies in favour of these groups who at present do not have access, voice or representation at any level of government or the media.

Professional experience
2004 - 2005

The NGO focussed on certain vulnerable groups such as children and women especially from the Dalit (untouchable) and tribal communities in South India, especially on the rights aspects of their access to health, education and access to common community property resources.

I was able to make a difference during my tenure, on the allocation of resources and focus on gender aspects, as women and children are generally marginalised from decisionmaking processes at all levels. Also began some path-breaking research into masculinities and gender.
