SMS to Members : Using this service, you can send messages to your friends who are in your friend list. You can also invite more friends by clicking the invite friends button.

Group SMS : By using this service, you can send messages to all the members of Social and Professional Groups, Here you can get options to create your groups and move friends from one group to another.

SMS to Non-Members : This service can help you to send messages to non-members by typing their numbers in the Receipent's textbox.
Also you can send common messages to Multiple people (Max. 10). To use Bulk SMS service you need to click the "SMS to many" link.

Note : Maximum you can type 10 mobile numbers and minimum you need to enter 2 mobile numbers, To avoid typing mobile numbers, you can also use the SMS address Book feature.

I ) Click the "Free SMS" mobile icon under applications section below your profile image on Home page.

II ) Click the "SMS to Non-Members" Tab.

III ) Now click the link of "Select from Address Book".

IV ) Check the "New Entry" panel at the right side of that pop-up page.

V ) Enter the Name and Mobile Number and click the Save button.

VI ) The new entry will get listed on the left side panel inside the same pop-up page.

You can recommend someone as well as get recommended by somebody outside the ApnaCircle network.

• Log in to your ApnaCircle account on www.apnacircle.com with your email address and password. You should reach the "Home" page after logging in.
• Click on the link "Change Password" at the top middle of ApnaCircle page.
• After you have done with the password change. Select Submit.

• Go to index page of ApnaCircle i.e. enter www.apnacircle.com
• click on the link “Forgot Password” just under the log-in id and password text boxes.
• System will ask you to provide your e-mail id, just enter your e-mail address there.
• An e-mail consisting of your password will be sent to your mail account.
• Now you can directly log in.

• Log in to your ApnaCircle account on www.apnacircle.com with your email address and password. This will by default land you in 'Home' page
• Click on the link "Settings” at the top middle of ApnaCircle home page.
• You will have the option to de-activate your account on the page that appears.
• System will ask you about your e-mail address here.
• After filling in the email address, a mail confirming that your account has been de-activated would be delivered.

You can choose privacy settings for each feature that we offer by selecting the appropriate option next to it. Click on 'Save' when you're done.

After registering yourself in the ApnaCircle, update your profile and invite all your friends to join ApnaCircle. Even, you can check out other Apna members' profiles, see their friends and network.

Professional friends are all those with whom you share professional relations. They can be your colleagues, seniors, and business partners, etc. You can recommend and ask for recommendations from your professional friends.

• Log in your ApnaCircle account on www.apnacircle.com with your email address and password. This will by default land you in ApnaCircle "Home page. "
• Click on the link "Settings” at the top middle of ApnaCircle home page.
• Here, you have the option to deactivate your account on the page that appears.
• System will ask you about your e-mail address here.
• A confirmation mail will be sent to you stating that your account has been de-activated.

• Go to index page of ApnaCircle i.e. enter www.apnacircle.com.
• Click on the link “forgot password” just under the log-in id and password text boxes.
• System will ask you for your e-mail id, just enter your e-mail address here.
• You will receive an e-mail in your mail account, which would consists of your password.
• Now you can directly log in.

• Log in to your ApnaCircle account on www.apnacircle.com. with your email address and password. You should reach the "Home" page after logging in.
• Click on the link "change password" at the top middle of ApnaCircle page.
• You will have the option to change your password on the page that appears.
• Be sure to select "Submit" when you're done.

It is entirely up to you whether you want to make your profile "Private" or "Public", or both.

• To manage your privacy settings, please click on "Settings" on the top middle of your home page. Here, you can choose privacy settings for each feature. Please click on 'Save' when you're done.
• Apna home page is your main profile page. Here you can show what are you all about and can display your professional and personal status. Here you can display your photo, along with communities and recent visitors.
• You can also upload photo albums and can make it highly private. It is entirely up to you to whom you want to give rights of viewing your album by setting "Album Rights "
• When filling your personal profile, you can make your date of birth and nick name

Public or private, it's entirely up to you.

"My Profile" consists of all the information about you, personal and professional. There are some fields which are mandatory while some are optional. Through your profile people get to know more about you.

Edit: : Once you are in your ApnaCircle account home page, click on the "Edit Profile" link in the left panel and then click on the option "Personal Profile". Here you can fill in the fields provided or choose from one of the options given, similarly you can edit your professional profile as well. Be sure to click " Save" when you're done.

Delete Scrap: : You can view your scrap book by clicking on the link provided on the left panel of the home page. Your scrap book appears, here you have an icon "x" at the end of each scrap. Clicking on the icon, you can delete the scrap.

Delete Scrap from someone's scrap book: To delete the scrap which you have made to someone, just go to his profile and view his scrap book. After selecting the particular scrap that you have made, click on the icon "x", the selected scrap is deleted.

Hide my nick name: While you fill up your personal profile, you get an option for hiding your nick name. If you check that box then your nick name will not be visible to anyone.

Hide my date of birth: While you fill up your personal profile, you get an option for hiding your date of birth. If you check that box then your date of birth will not be visible to anyone.

Hide my contact: : While you fill up your personal profile, you get an option for hiding "my contact". If you check that box then your contact will not be visible to anyone.

Hide my Hometown: While you fill up your personal profile, you get an option for hiding the name of your hometown. If you check that box then your hometown will not be visible to anyone.

Professional Profile: Educational details!! Experience summary!! How to get Recommendations!! How to give recommendations!!

Educational Details: Here do provide your educational details which include your college name, fields of study, country, degree etc. It is entirely up to you whether you want to get you details displayed or not.

Experience summary: Here you can provide your experience details which include your organization name, start date, end date, type of industry, organization size etc. It is entirely up to you that whether you want to get your details displayed or not.

May be your senior or boss of your previous company or current organization are looking into your professional profile. They can recommend you for some other job or just applaud you for your achievements.

You can also recommend someone from your previous or current organization. You recommend a person with whom you have or had professional links. You can also recommend or even get recommended by those who are not in ApnaCircle network.

On the top middle of home page, there is a link of “Settings”, here you can make your profile either public i.e. viewable by anyone, or you can authenticate only social and professional network friends or only professional network friends. This way you maintain your privacy.

My Friends : To see your friends, click the "Friends" tab in the header. From the Friends page, you can send Messages to your friends, you can view incoming friend request, block friends, add groups.

Professional Friends: Professional friends are those with whom you have professional links. Professional friends can also be your personal friends.

Personal Friends: Personal friends are those with whom you have personal relations. Personal friends can also be your professional friends

Invite Friends: : You can invite one or a few of your friends to join. You can send invitation either in bulk or directly add a friend available on Apna network. They in turn invite their friends and so on.

Apna Points: : ApnaCircle provides you points for participating with us and using ApnaCircle on regular basis. You can redeem these points through gifts in ApnaCircle Store and we will send the Gift directly to your door from our sponsors.

How to gain points? : Earn Points for doing what you usually do online; making friends, uploading photos, increasing your social and professional network and more! The more you do, the more Points you earn.

How to check recent visitors: There is a link "My Recent Visitors" on the left bottom panel of the home page. By default, it shows four recent visitors. Alongside of the link there is another link "View all". Clicking on the link " See All", all visitors who have visited your profile get displayed.

Adding Groups: When clicked on Friends tab, there is a link of Add Groups on the left side bottom panel. There are two more categories i.e. personal and professional groups along with group name. Personal and professional groups can be formed here.

Block Friends:If you want to block some people with whom you do not want to continue relation, click on the Friends tab that displays the list of friends. In front of every friend there are certain icons provided, which consist of option of block friend. You simply block a person whom you do not want to interact with. Your blocked friend can neither send you a message nor a scrap.

Delete Friends:If you want to remove someone as your friend, go to the Friends page, which lists all your friends. You can also search for a friend. In front of every friend, there is an option of Delete a friend. You can select as many friends from the list that you want to delete. Simply click on delete friend. The friend will automatically get deleted from your list.

Sending Messages: Click on Messages tab at the top of the page. Now click on create message option provided in the tab. A new window opens where you can fill in all the details, the address to which you want to send mail, the title and message content in the space provided. You can also send message to more then one friend or friend groups. There is also an option provided of sending a message to personal or professional friends. Then by clicking on send button provided under that, you can send message. The sent message can also be saved into sent items.

Receiving Messages: Click on Messages tab at the top of the page. Now click on inbox option provided in the tab or also you can click on the inbox option provided at the left bottom panel of the page. Here new window opens where your all inbox messages appear.

Sending Bulletin: Click on Messages tab at the top of the page. Now click on create bulletin option provided in the left bottom panel of the page. Bulletin is different from messages in the way that it cannot be forwarded to a single friend. Bulletin can be also sent as a scrap. You can send bulletin to more then one friend or friend groups. There is also an option provided of sending bulletin to personal or professional friends. By clicking the send button provided, you can send the bulletin. The sent message can also be saved into sent items.

Deleting Messages: Click on Messages tab at the top of the page. Now click on the inbox option provided in the tab. The list of all inbox messages will appear, you can check the boxes provided in front of every message and click delete button provided on top of the page. The selected messages get deleted.

Creating an Album : Click on the "Photos" and "My Photo Albums" tab on your home page. Then click on the album entitled "Create a new album". Enter a photo album title. Select the path of the photos you want to upload (you can upload 10 photos at a time) and click on "Save" at the bottom of the page. You can save photos up to 10MB to your album.

Who can see my album: Go to the "Photos" and “My Albums” tab from your home page. Click on the album Rights and click on the album for which you wish to set rights of viewing. You can select the person whom you want to permit to view your album from the check boxes provided.

Deleting an album: Go to the tabs "Photos" and then "My Album", click on “Album Rights”, the dropdown of all the created albums appear, now from here you can select a particular album and click on the delete button. The selected album get deleted.

Ratings of a picture: Go to the "Photos" and “My Albums” tab from your home page. Click on the “Photo Albums ”, select a particular photo which you want to rate, then click on the option provided “Rate Photo” Save the changes when you are done.

How to protect my uploaded pictures?: ?: You can protect your uploaded pictures, by setting rights of viewing. You can restrict o thers to view your album and photos. By "Album Rights", you can choose who can see your album. Photos uploaded on the site cannot be downloaded, if you are not the owner of the album.

How many pictures can I upload? One user can upload 5MB of photographs in total.

Upload a Video :

Click on the "Video" tab on your home page. On the "Most Recent Video " page which comes default after the action, click on the " Upload Videos". Browse for the video that has to be uploaded.

Note:

The accepted formats are *.flv,*.mov, *.wmv,*.avi, *.mpeg,*.mpg,*.mp4,*.ram. Maximum size of 30 MB video can be uploaded.

Give a " Title", "Description", "Categories", and "Search tags" to the chosen video. Here, you can even set the settings of the video to public, private and friends. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click on the " Upload" button. The video is uploaded.

Who can see my video:

It is up to you, how you treat the video while it is uploaded. Click on the "Video" link in the home page. In the page that appears, click on the " Upload Videos". Here, change the settings of the uploaded video as you wish to public, private or friends.

What is Event?

An Event is a gathering of people for a common purpose or purposes that is organised by a person or body. The Events page contains all of the important information about your ApnaCircle events. From the Events page you can create a new event, check out relevant upcoming events for you and your friends, and view past events.

How do I search for events ?

Looking for something to do? You can look for events using the Search page. Just type in the name of the event you are looking for and specify that you are searching for "Events." As another option, you can always "browse" events from the Events page.

How can I post an event?

Click on the "Event" tab on your home page, than Click on the "Post Event" link of the new page. Fill the detail of your event accordingly. Once you complete the details, Click on the Create Event button below. Your event is now been posted. You can also add photos related to the event.

Public Events

An Event posted in ApnaCircle looking forward for all users of ApnaCircle participation. Anyone can add themselves to the guest list without approval. They can see the event information, scrap, and photos.

Private Events

An Event posted on ApnaCircle, looking forward for Friends and Professional Friends participation. People need to be invited to be on the guest list. Everyone can see the event info, however, and request that the admin send them an invite. Only those people who have received an invite can see the event scrap and photos. People who are not invited will not see News Feed stories about closed events.

Secret Events

An Event posted on ApnaCircle by the user, looking forward for some particular Friends and Professional Friends participation. The event can not be found in searches. These events are invitation only. People who have not been invited cannot view the event info, scrap, or photos. They also will not see any News Feed stories about the event.

Posted Events

To view the events posted by you at a glance, you can click on Posted Events and can have a look.

Creating Community: Go to "Community" and “Create Community” tab from your home page. A new form comes up, after filling this form, click on “Save” to create the community. Community can be moderated or public; it depends upon you what type of community you are creating.

Managing Community: User can delete and edit only that community which belongs to him i.e. of only moderated community. User can only un-join the public community.

User can only un-join the public community.

About community members: Anyone on ApnaCircle network can join the public community.If you, however, want to join “moderated” community then permission of the owner of that particular community is mandatory.

Community Categories: Go to the "Community" and “Create Community” tab from your home page. There are certain community categories provided in the left bottom panel of the page. Category is basically a type under which that community falls. Every community belongs to some particular community category.

Search by details:

To search for people, click on the "Search" tab. You can search by name, age, status, country, state and city. To see someone's profile, just click on their name.

Personal Search: To search for people, click on the search tab. You can search by name, age, status, country, state and city. To see someone's profile, just click on their name. Don't forget to click “Search”, when you are done.

Professional Search: To search for your professional friends, click on “Professional Search ” tab.

You can search by name, job title, company, industry, country, state and city. Don't forget to click “Search”, when you are done.

Community Search: To search for community click on “Community Search ” tab.

You can search a community by putting its name. Don't forget to click “Search”, when you are done.

Applications are tools that allow you to interact with ApnaCircle added features. Examples of applications that ApnaCircle has built are Causes, Jobs, Games, Movie Trailers.. Adding applications allows you to Add frequently used application at your personal Homepage. Check out our Application Directory for a list of applications that you can add.

1) How can I check out what applications are on ApnaCircle ?

If you are currently a ApnaCircle user or a potential user who wants to learn about what the site has to offer, you can check out all of the cool applications on ApnaCircle by going to the Applications. From here you can search for available applications and learn about all of the amazing ways you can interact with your friends. The Application Directory is constantly adding new applications to improve the experience of ApnaCircle for all users.

2) How do I add an application to my account ?

You can add a new application by navigating to the application’s page in the Application Directory and clicking on “Add Application” button. You will then be prompted to confirm the addition.

3) How do I remove an application from my account ?

To remove an application, first go to the Applications page. From here you have the option to “Remove” any of the applications listed.

There are some local, regional, national and international issues and problems, which may carry global impact and consequences that concern you significantly. To address these, ApnaCircle.com has an option as " Cause" to facilitate members to create, join in any " cause" and to consolidate it further.

Create Cause:

Click on the "Cause" link in the left panel of your home page. Click on the "Create Cause" tab of the new page. Give a name to your cause in " Cause Name" (mandatory element); mission with "Cause Mission" (mandatory); and describe it in the "Description" (mandatory) box. Also mention the belief in the " What is your belief" boxes that is motivating you to create the Cause. Then, click on the "Create Cause" button at the end of the page.

Note:

After clicking on the "Create Cause", you are taken to an another page with the "Category" section. Select the necessary category and tag it in the " Tags" box. Click "Next". In the new page that appears, select the region that your Cause would affect. Follow the procedures, and in no time "Cause" is created.

"Manage Cause: "User can edit only that Cause which he has created. Invitation to join in the Cause can be forwarded to friends who are in the ApnaCircle network; this is true for any Cause the user has joined. User can leave the Cause.

About Cause members: Anyone on ApnaCircle network can join the Cause and strengthen it and make it successful.
